Founder and Principal Consultant
Larry Goldman is a Certified Food and Beverage Executive (CFBE) with over 30 years of experience in the restaurant, hotel, foodservice and hospitality industry. Larry served 8 years in top performing hotel operations in the US and Canada and 4 seasons at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. In 1997 he accepted the challenge of closing down US Air Arena and opening the premium food and beverage operations at the state of the art Verizon Center Sports Complex which he ran for over 7 years. In 2004 he founded his consulting company, The Goldman Consulting Group, operating as Quintessential Hospitality Services.
Larry’s leadership, planning, support and execution skills have resulted in the success of many high profile projects, prestigious events and unique multiple week international competitions at sports and entertainment venues. He was personally requested to be onsite for support for future NBA All Star events, by the NBA officials, after successfully supervising the NBA’s 50th Anniversary “All Star” Weekend, in Washington, DC. Projects have included:

- NFL Super Bowl, NBA, WNBA and NHL “All Star” Events
- US OPEN and AT&T Golf Championships

He has the unique ability to instill his passion, enthusiasm, knowledge and experience of the food & wine industry into any operation. International experience has provided him with the opportunity to better understand cultures, cultural sensitivities, unique customers and challenging client requirements. This experience has strengthened his ability to work with ownership and management to adapt, lead and drive change.
He has served as Treasurer and Board Member for “Through the Kitchen Door International”, a non-profit organization helping disadvantaged families and teens, and has been affiliated with the Restaurant Association, NACE, ISES, Association of Legal Administrators and the American Bartenders Association. He also conducts Wine and Food Tasting seminars, is a Certified ServSafe Trainer and Proctor and has completed a Clean Eating and Nutrition Certification.
Larry immigrated to the USA in 1986 after graduating from the Witwatersrand School of Hotel and Restaurant Management (University of Johannesburg) and currently lives in Maryland.
